A riches-to-rags and back again romantic comedy that takes a bit of getting into but do persevere for come page 60-odd it really takes off. It is very much the Cinderella story complete with evil step mum and two ugly (well, irritating bitches) sisters, only it’s the contemporary media world and great fun.
Comparison: Patricia Scanlan, Carmen Reid, Sophie Kinsella.
