His thanks are also due to his forerunners ln the pursuit of Modern Greek folklore, and more particularly to Mr Tozer, Herr Bernhard Schmidt, MM. Georgeakis et Pineau, Sir Rennell Rodd and others whose labours it has been his modest ambition to supplement.
