LoveReading Says
This is interesting. A few years ago Jonathan Kellerman moved publishers and joined his wife at Headline. I wondered at the time if this could put Headline in an awkward situation as one or other author might expect the same marketing spend, PR treatment and advertising campaign as the other. I even began to imagine their pillow-talk, but I hadn’t foreseen this. A novella from each of them published to be read from either end of the book. The only similarity is that they are both feature cops, one in Santa Fe, one in Boston. It’s a nice collaboration that, if successful, is supposed to be the start of a series. But I wonder now if it will continue for Jonathan is on the move again; next year he will be published by Penguin. Anyway, these are good fun but perhaps a bit staccato. I can see film script written all over them!
Comparisons: each other, John Sandford, James Patterson, Jeffery Deaver.
Similar this month: Val McDermid, Mary Higgins Clark.
