Lamont Jackson, the ambitious and larger-than-life head of New York's Triple Large Entertainment, has been racking up multi-platinum hip-hop hits for over a decade. But now he needs to find an R'n'B crossover artist to prove to himself and his paymasters that he should succeed his mentor, Irv Greene, as head of Augusta Music. Marie-Jean Castiglione is the beautiful wannabe from unglamorous and un-street Toledo, Ohio, who impresses Lamont enough at audition to get the chance to make both their dreams become reality.
