Sarah Broadhurst's view...

Tamara was seriously hurt in a hit-and-run car accident when she was 17 and now has a mental age of 10. She lives with her mother. Her sister, Lyddie, lives close by and is very attentive. Into their lives comes a young man, Jed, whose dying father confessed to being the driver who hit Tamara and wants to leave the proceeds from the sale of his house to assist in her care. The shocked family doesn’t want to know. How this all works out, how Jed eases his way into their lives, and how his work backfires is at the heart of this gentle read.

Choc Lit, the publisher of this novel, was the 2012 Publisher of the Year as voted for by the Festival of Romance.

Synopsis

Is This Love? by Sue Moorcroft

How many ways can one woman love? When Tamara Rix's sister Lyddie is involved in a hit-and-run accident that leaves her in need of constant care, Tamara resolves to remain in the village she grew up in. Tamara would do anything for her sister, even sacrifice a long-term relationship. But when Lyddie's teenage sweetheart Jed Cassius returns to Middledip, he brings news that shakes the Rix family to their core. Jed's life is shrouded in mystery, particularly his job, but despite his strange background, Tamara can't help being intrigued by him. Can Tamara find a balance between her love for Lyddie and growing feelings for Jed, or will she discover that some kinds of love just don't mix?

About the Author

Sue Moorcroft

Sue Moorcroft is a working writer. She writes novels, short stories, serials, articles, courses and "how to" books. (Yes - she works jolly hard.) Her novels are Starting Over and All That Mullarkey (Choc Lit) and Uphill All the Way (Transita) in paperback. As a long-serving committee member of the Romantic Novelists' Association, Sue is the editor of Loves Me, Loves Me Not, a short-story anthology published to celebrate the association's 50th Anniversary.

Sue was born in Germany, part of an army family. Her childhood included living in Cyprus and Malta, as well as the UK. She has worked in a bank, as a bookkeeper (probably a mistake), for Motor Cycle News and for a typesetter but is pleased to be able to leave all those 'proper jobs' behind.

Sue Moorcroft is the Winner of the Festival of Romance - Best Romantic Read 2011 for Love & Freedom.
