Shortlisted for the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year 2010.
September 2009 Debut of the Month.
Warped, sick, gruesome and very good, this is told in alternating chapters between the police investigation into the killing of pregnant women and the cutting out of their babies, to the killer’s home and coping with the results. It’s very compelling, frightening stuff, not for the squeamish.
Comparison: Mo Hayder, Tess Gerritsen, Karen Rose.
