Flora's Travelling Christmas Shop

LoveReading Says

Hot on the glittery heels of Aria's Travelling Book Shop and Rosie’s Travelling Tea Shop, Rebecca Raisin’s Flora's Travelling Christmas Shop is a story of finding unexpected love and career satisfaction in unexpected places after rejection. Like its protagonist, this spirited story wears its warm heart on its sparkly (Christmas jumper) sleeve.

After being dumped by her latest love and fired from her dream job at Deck the Halls Christmas emporium, festive Flora resolves to take matters into her own hands: “Instead of berating myself for every misstep, I could start over knowing that a new beginning might just be the answer if only I’m brave enough to take that leap, just like they do in the movies”. Flora takes said leap by heading to Lapland in a campervan Christmas shop, set on realising her movie-magic dreams. Of course, the snow-laden path to success rarely runs smooth, not least when contending with feeling a flurry of love for a man who professes to hate Christmas.

Whirling with comic campervan capers, soul-searching under the snow and stars, and a fair few mistletoe kisses, this feel-good festive feast is a sure-fire seasonal winner for fans of Jenny Colgan, Holly Martin and Jessica Redland.
