Politicians and sex scandals have been the subject of many a fiction (and fact but, I still can’t picture Edwina and John having sex). However, this book is (we are lead to believe) a true account (names withheld) and it makes for pretty lurid reading (you have been warned!). We follow our anonymous politician through increasingly exotic encounters involving a fair number of other politicians. Unsurprisingly the identity of the author is much sought after as it would make pages of tabloid coverage.
However, you have to ask, why write the book if you want to stay anonymous? And if you do know who the author is just drop us a quick email!
Unzipped is the story of a senior Tory’s political London life, but it is also the story of an unusual marriage. Anonymous’ wife declared to him at a political dinner that if he was so inclined, she would give her blessing to him having sex with other women. It would cost him, but she would allow him to seek sex elsewhere, as she was no longer interested in this side of their marriage. This led to an avalanche of sexual experiences and a journey leading the politician to love two women – his wife and his prostitute.
As compulsively readable as the Alan Clark Diaries, and as saucy as Hotel Confidential, Unzipped is the perfect book for anyone who’s wondered what really happens behind the magnificent façade of Westminster.
