Blacklight Blue An Enzo Macleod Investigation by Peter May

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

Peter May is one of our most talented and prolific writers and this is the fifth in his France set series featuring Enzo, solving some very cold crimes before his time runs out. Each book leads into the next, so it's definitely worth starting at the beginning. An intriguing and gripping plot centred around a child's disappearance but which quickly gets more complex as Enzo and his family get sucked into it.

If you like Peter May you might also like to read books by Peter James, Stuart MacBride and Ann Cleeves.

Who is Sarah Broadhurst

The Good Book Guide logo The Good Book Guide Review. May lives in France, and Blacklight Blue is perhaps the most authoritative of his superlative French-set novels. Protagonist Enzo McLeod has been diagnosed with a terminal illness, and while trying to find out who is behind a series of unsolved killings, he finds himself framed for murder. Unlike the recent novels, the piece here is accelerando – but fans of the author’s most recent work need not hesitate.

About the Author

Peter May

Peter May was born and raised in Scotland. He was an award-winning journalist at the age of twenty-one and a published novelist at twenty-six. When his first book was adapted as a major drama series for the BCC, he quit journalism and during the high-octane fifteen years that followed, became one of Scotland's most successful television dramatists. He created three prime-time drama series, presided over two of the highest-rated serials in his homeland as script editor and producer, and worked on more than 1,000 episodes of ratings-topping drama before deciding to leave television to return to his first love, writing novels.
