The Supreme Macaroni Company by Adriana Trigiani

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

More in the life of Valentine and her large American/Italian family. Valentine is now thirty-five and falls for a divorced Italian eighteen years her senior who has a grown up daughter. Beautifully both women give birth close together so no doubt future books will follow the children’s lives. For now we have tragedy and business disasters to cope with in an affectionate, lyrical read, big and heart-warming, with an all embracing Italian family. I love her books. This does finish a little abruptly so we’ll need to read the next!

If you like Adriana Trigiani you might also like to read books by Penny Vincenzi, Elinor Lipman and Veronica Henry.

'A person who can build a pair of shoes can do just about anything.' The Angelini Shoe Company in Greenwich Village has been creating sumptuous shoes for a hundred years. And now it falls to Valentine Roncalli, heir to the family firm, to turn its esteemed past into a glorious future. Uniting both professionally and romantically with master craftsman Gianluca Vechiarelli, with his full and complex past and a secret to hide, proud, passionate Valentine is determined to make her mark. Once their wedding celebrations are over, she wakes up to the reality of juggling the demands of a business and the needs of her new family.
