Synopsis

Fifteen-year-old Laura gets the shock of her life when she moves to rural Derbyshire and finds the ghost of her dead father in her grandmother’s home. At first Laura is overjoyed to see him, but as time passes she begins to wonder why her dad is finding it so difficult to move on, and why her mother still refuses to talk about his death. What is the secret that has been kept from her for all these years?

About the Author

Alex Gutteridge has had nine books published for children for Templar, Macmillan, Random House and A&C Black. She has written young fiction, a novel for pre-teens and a ghost story for reluctant readers. Her novel Oven Chips for Tea was turned into a play for Radio 4. Alex lives in Leicester with her husband and three children. When she isn't writing, she is a practising reflexologist.
