The Preacher by Sander Jakobsen

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

The latest in the spate of dark Scandinavian crime tales is created by a writing duo. Interesting you can’t see the seams at all. It flows in clear atmospheric prose as two unconnected murdered women are investigated. This is East Jutland, small town, intricate stuff. Chasing from isolated summer houses in stunning countryside we are hurled along to try and get some answers before another woman is killed. It starts a series so we are left with an interesting cliff hanger!

If you like Sander Jakobsen you might also like to read books by David Hewson, Camilla Lackberg and Jo Nesbo.

Will you guess the secret to unlock the killer twist?

Reviews

Watch out for the new author duo writing under the pseudonym Sander Jakobsen. I've just read their debut crime novel The Preacher ... It's a thrilling, skilful crime novel with great characters and a great atmosphere - Sara Blaedel

Best of the Latest Releases: The Preacher explores love and guilt in Scandinavian small-town society - Radio Times (Nordic Noir)

A deceptively clever thriller that bears thinking about ... The Preacher holds its own among the Scandi-crime competing for our attention, and is, I think, ahead of the pack when it comes to the quality of the prose and the subtlety of the themes - Killing Time blog
