The Killing Club by Paul Finch

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

The fourth thriller to feature DS Mark ‘Heck’ Heckenburg. It is a great read with non-stop action from the start, great dialogue and a huge body count. Heck, who describes himself as a bit of a loose cannon, uses instinct and imagination in his investigations, is able to think outside the box and is not afraid to take issue with his superior. He is a terrific character, here on the trail of a particularly nasty gang who appear to have a mole in the police force keeping them one step ahead of apprehension. Fast and furious, tense and suspenseful, very visual and not for the faint-hearted, the whole series is brilliant.

If you like Paul Finch you might also like to read books by Stuart MacBride, Chris Carter and Neil White.

Synopsis

The Killing Club by Paul Finch

Get hooked on Heck: the maverick detective who knows no boundaries. The perfect read for fans of Stuart Macbride and Luther. DS Mark 'Heck' Heckenburg is used to bloodbaths. But nothing can prepare him for this. Heck's most dangerous case to date is open again. Two years ago, he put the ringleader of The Nice Guys Club - a vicious rape and murder gang - behind bars. But Heck knows that this depraved organisation stretches far beyond UK shores. When brutal murders start happening across the country, it's clear that the Nice Guys are at work again. Their victims are killed in cold blood, in broad daylight, and by any means necessary. And Heck knows it won't be long before they come for him. Brace yourself as you turn the pages of a living nightmare. Welcome to The Killing Club.
