Whiskey Beach by Nora Roberts

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

Classic Nora Roberts, exciting, eventful and romantic. This one is a tad predictable, perhaps not her best, but still a lovely read of a man cleared of murdering his wife but badly scarred. They were in the midst of a divorce when she was killed but although found innocent, his friends and work colleagues turn against him. He flees to his family home in Whiskey Beach. Here, assisted by a local Girl-Friday (note the love interest) and the police, the case is solved. It is a highly satisfying read.

If you like Nora Roberts you might also like to read books by Anita Shreve, Jayne Ann Krentz and Sue Grafton.

Who is Sarah Broadhurst

The Good Book Guide logo The Good Book Guide Review. Eli Landon seemed to have it all until his stunning wife was murdered and he became the main suspect. Despite the case being dropped, he is hounded by a tenacious detective, deserted by his friends and relinquishes his high-flying legal career. It seems so fortuitous that his grandmother’s house at Whiskey Beach is available as a retreat, whilst she recovers from an accident with Eli’s parents. Here Eli meets Abra, who has a hidden past, and as their relationship develops it becomes clear that there are still convoluted and unresolved issues. Another riveting page-turner from the much-lauded Nora Roberts.
