The Good Suicides by Antonio Hill

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

This is the second outing for volatile Inspector Hector Salgado of the Barcelona Police Force, introduced to us in The Summer of Dead Toys. It’s a character-driven tale as it delves into the personalities of all concerned. Slow to unfold, you get carried along through many twists and turns to an ending that manages to be both expected and surprising! It revolves round a weekend of company executives ‘team building’ in a remote house where something unexpected obviously occurred. Running parallel to that is the continuing case of the disappearance of Hector’s wife, unresolved so no doubt carrying on into the next book.

If you like Antonio Hill you might also like to read books by Andrea Camilleri, Donna Leon and Jason Webster.
