The Andalucian Friend The First Book in the Brinkmann Trilogy by Alexander Soderberg

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

Every new Scandinavian crime writer who bursts onto the scene is called the new Stieg Larsson and whilst Alexander Soderberg may not be quite in Larsson’s league this is hugely gripping and enjoyable, if rather complex, thriller. It’s pretty brutal too and you realise there are so many characters at the start so that the body count can spiral without everyone being dead at the end. Sophie is far from your average heroine and it will be interesting to see where the rest of the trilogy takes her.

If you like Alexander Soderberg you might also like to read books by Stieg Larsson, Camilla Lackberg and David Hewson.
