Wedding Night by Sophie Kinsella

Lovereading view...

Fans of Sophie be warned, this is not a shopaholic Rebecca Bloomwood romp but don’t let that put you off. This starts sisters Fliss and Lottie and best friends Ben and Lorcan. Lottie loves Ben, or so she thinks, while Fliss and Lorcan wish to drive them apart. They all chase off to Greece, the couple for their honeymoon, the other two to prevent the marriage being consummated; wonderful old fashioned notions in a very modern romance. Sophie Kinsella has a light touch and acres of humour, all delightfully thrown into a good fun plot. I love her.

If you like Sophie Kinsella you might also like to read books by Belinda Jones, Wendy Holden and Ali McNamara.

Synopsis

Wedding Night by Sophie Kinsella

Lottie is tired of long-term boyfriends who don't want to commit to marriage. When her old boyfriend Ben reappears and reminds her of their pact to get married if they were both still single at thirty, she jumps at the chance. There will be no dates and no engagement-just a straight wedding march to the altar! Next comes the honeymoon on the Greek island where they first met. But not everyone is thrilled with Lottie and Ben's rushed marriage, and family and friends are determined to intervene. Will Lottie and Ben have a wedding night to remember or one to forget?

Reviews

The narrative gallops along with humorous scenes and great one-liners...and you won't be able to stop reading until you find out how all the loose ends tie up. - Daily Mail

I let out a huge, embarrassing honk of laughter on the tube reading Wedding Night. And then, two stops later, I did it again. This is why Sophie Kinsella is beloved by millions - her books are properly mood-altering. Funny, fast and farcical. I loved it. - JoJo Moyes

The most hilarious, breathless romp? imaginable You'll laugh and gasp on every page - Jenny Colgan

This witty tale of misunderstandings and misplaced feelings will tickle your fancy. Kinsella traces Lottie's circuitous pursuit of her elusive fairytale ending with her signature charm and humour.- The Lady

Their sending me my first book to review 18 months ago re-awakened my fondness for reading, since then I have purchased some real gems.

Lovereading is not only an amazing site, but it's one of my very favourites. It's like visiting a fascinating bookstore, but better.

A well laid out site, I love the fact that is separates paranormal fiction from fantasy and horror, which other sites don't.
