Simon Warrack is a British born stone conservation consultant based in Italy. He received a degree in Renaissance History from the University of Warwick and then having decided to work in the field of conservation he attended the Building Crafts Training School in London. Following a four-year apprenticeship at Canterbury Cathedral where he was responsible for the working drawings for the West façade and North West Tower he moved to Venice where he attended the San Servolo Course (UNESCO) and the ICCROMUNESCO Stone Conservation Course. Since then, he has worked on various monuments around the world, including the Ducal Palace, the Church of Notre-Dame d'Etampes, the Cathedral of Bourges, the Trevi Fountain, Trajan's Markets, Angkor Wat and the Temple of the Sun at Ed Dur in the Emirate of Umm al Quwain in the United Arab Emirates. He has just returned from working on the World Heritage Site at Great Zimbabwe.
