Lyle Campbell is emeritus professor of linguistics at the University of Hawai'i at Ma¯noa. He has published more than 200 articles and 22 books, including American Indian Languages and Historical Syntax in Cross-linguistics Perspective, which both received the Linguistic Society of America's Leonard Bloomfield Book Award.
