Graff Zivin is associate professor of economics at the University of California, San Diego, where he holds faculty positions in the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies and the Department of Economics. He is research director for international environmental and health studies at the Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation and a research associate of the NBER. Jeffrey M. Perloff is professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, and a former member of the NBER's Board of Directors.
