Jarek Kurnitski carries out research into cost optimal and nearly zero energy buildings and is chair of Structural Engineering at Tallinn University of Technology. He develops European EPBD standards and national energy performance regulation in Estonia and Finland, and also develops REHVA technical definition and system boundaries for national nZEB implementation. Prof Kurnitski is chairman of the REHVA (Federation of European Heating and Air-Conditioning Associations) Task Force on Nearly Zero Energy Buildings.
