Hande Paker is a political sociologist who works on the politics of climate and the environment, civil society, state, cosmopolitan citizenship, and political ecology. Her articles have appeared in various edited volumes and international journals such as Environmental Politics, Theory and Society, Voluntas, and Middle Eastern Studies. She was previously a senior research fellow at the Centre for Global Cooperation Research at Duisburg-Essen University, Mercator-IPC fellow at Istanbul Policy Center, Sabanci University; a visiting scholar at CliSAP, Hamburg University, and an associate professor at Bahcesehir University. Hande Paker holds a PhD from McGill University, Canada. She received her MA from McGill University as well and her BA from Bogaziçi University, Turkey.
