His education includes a B.A. in international affairs from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service; an M.A. in political science from the University of Pittsburgh; an M.B.A. in finance from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business; and a Ph.D. in U.S. history from the Claremont Graduate University.
