January 2012 Book of the Month. This is an incredibly harrowing story but one which probably goes on in virtually every country in the world but too often we turn our backs. Here we read the story of a British girl pulled into the sex trade by someone she thought she could trust, someone who befriended her and almost became like a father and mother figure to her, until she was forced by him in northern Italy to an awful existence in which she could see no way out. It's utterly compelling and utlimately uplifting.
