Josephine Angelini is a Massachusetts native and the youngest of eight siblings. A real-live farmer's daughter, Josie graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in theatre, with a focus on the classics. She now lives in Los Angeles with her screenwriter husband ... and she still can drive a tractor.

The second book in the breathtaking ‘Worldwalker Trilogy’ leaps straight back into the action packed story which began in ‘Trial by Fire’. Back on her native world, Lily attempts to rebuild her life and her friendships, while a persistent FBI agent refuses to be reassured by the account of where Lily has been. As Lilian and events start to catch up and hound her, Lily makes a momentous decision. Josephine Angelini handles the romance between Lily and Rowan beautifully, it is most definitely tangible, but by no means cloying or overpowering. The parallel worlds are fascinating, the magic, with the blend of science and natural forces is different, yet almost touchable, good and evil are not fairytale distortions but murky, cloudy and confusing. ‘Firewalker’ is a believable, stimulating novel, grounded in the reality of friendships, love and trust, it really is a truly fabulous read. ~ Liz Robinson
Fabulously different, this wonderfully exciting novel captures your imagination and allows it to soar alongside a truly captivating cast of characters. Lily Proctor, sick and traumatised, is lured into a parallel world, one where witches and magic rule over science. This magic is not cheery and sparkly but takes a toll on those able to use it; this magic feels real, alive, formidable. Lily is strong yet fragile, caring and kind yet determined; add an identical but frighteningly different Lily (Lilian), then three intriguing champions into the mix and you have a firecracker of a read. It will almost physically hurt when you turn the last page, you will be left wishing there was just one more sentence, one more paragraph, one last chapter to end this thoroughly bewitching book. Luckily this is just the first in Angelini’s new series and the rest of The Worldwalker Trilogy promises to be absolutely spellbinding. ~ Liz Robinson
Destiny brought them together. The Gods will keep them apart. This is the book of the summer to get love-struck by!
