Rob Carter set out to create a mythology for England when writing The Language of Stones, and drew upon his huge interest in history for the book. As well as travelling extensively throughout the world, he has a degree in astrophysics, worked as an oil driller in America, Saudi Arabia and Iraq, written computer software, been an editor for the BBC and even worked on the Blackpool trams. He now lives in West London where he is completing The Language of Stones trilogy.
