Jesse Reeves – Skinwalkers: A Classic Western
"The small and enclosed space had a host of names assigned to it. They called it the area for the 'dances.' Other residents of Cassidy referred to it in more direct terms as the place where the school fights happened. It's most accurate nickname was 'the arena' and for good reason. All such terms were aptly given, as the small area was the place where local boxing matches were held. Crusher Heel had done his fair share of work in the newly-discovered mine. He had worked with everything from a pickaxe to a sledgehammer, and he had the physique to show for it. His entire body was bulging and packed with muscle. His arms seemed as large as metal pistons, and he was built more like a granite statue than a man. There was a good reason that he had earned his nickname of 'Crusher' in the dances. Bass Reeves Jr. was no lightweight himself. He was not as heavily built as Crusher Heel, but no man was. Heel was more of a freak of nature, and you would be hard-pressed to find anyone as large as him. Bass had inherited his grandfather's height and imposing stature, and was in good shape. Bass had to be in fighting form to even stand a chance against the monsters that constantly threatened Cassidy."

Bounty Hunter Clay Barton Blood On Your Hands: A Classic Western
"Zebadiah Cranston was the leader of a small community of Mormons settled in the mountains. A man of strong faith and conviction, Zeb also carried a dark and shameful secret. One that would rear its ugly head and bring back the blood that had been hidden on his hands for more than twenty years. Mason Trask and his brothers were hired by a local store owner named Phillip Thirdkill to put an end to the Mormons once and for all. The storekeeper's hatred was spurred on by an event that had happened over twenty years earlier, the Mountain Meadows Massacre. Little did Thirdkill know, but Mason Trask has a deep hatred for the Mormons as well, as he had watched his parents killed in cold blood during that same massacre, and at the very hands of Zebadiah Cranston. Was it fate that brought the two men, a man of faith and a cold-blooded killer, together after all those years? Would Clay Barton, an injured gun-for-hire who'd wandered into the middle of the mess by sheer accident, (or was it divine intervention) finally put an end to the senseless killing brought about by hatred?"

The Last Dance - Memoirs of the Bounty Hunter Jeff Saint Anthony: A Classic Western
"Before I begin my sordid tale, let me tell you I have no idea why they nicknamed me 'Saint'. If anything. I am the farthest thing from a blessed or divine individual. My profession is anything but holy. If anything, it's probably on the dark side of things. I guess that's how it always is in the West. I'm a bounty hunter, you see. A man that hunts other men that have crossed the law and have a price on their head. In my travels, I've been to a lot of places. I've frequented my share of bars, saloons, and dance halls. But this one dance hall would be different."

Urien Galloway - A Mountain Man Is Born: A Classic Western
"Ezra Galloway was a mountain man, a trapper and trader. He and his partner, Jonah Woodrow, had set up a small trading post. One of their best customers, and friend, was an Indian by the name of Le Renard Rapide, or the Swift Fox. During their visits, where the 'liquid fire' was usually consumed by the men in great quantities, Ezra and Jonah would often ask Le Renard to recant to them the story of the great gauntlet, the coming of age ritual for young braves within Le Renard's tribe. During one such visit and the recanting of the Indian's tale, a little too much 'liquid fire' had been consumed. Ezra, a generally mean tempered man, began to taunt Le Renard and suggest that his coming of age story was more of a tall tale. With the whiskey consuming his better judgement, Le Renard overreacted and killed Galloway. As an act of revenge, Le Renard was then shot and killed by Jonah. Elanor Galloway was with child when her husband, Ezra, was killed. As per his request, she named his last son Urien. Having been less than happy with the way his eldest son had been born such a sickly child, Ezra had held high hopes for the newest son, Urien, that the child would become a hunter and trapper, following in his father's footsteps. The French and British began to war between themselves and everyone not from either country was caught in the middle. The tribe to which Le Renard had belonged took sides with the French and helped to attack the trading post. Urien was fifteen at the time and proved himself to be a skilled fighter. Captured by the tribe, young Urien was spared from death and allowed to run the gauntlet himself. Hated by the chief's son, Urien proved himself to be more than a great warrior, he proved himself to be an honorable man. Urien would continue to live with and learn from the Indians, and go on to become a great trapper and hunter, a mountain man, like his father."

The Memoirs of the Bounty Hunter: A Classic Western
"The first thing I noticed about the bullfighter was his loud and booming voice. That was the first thing that would have struck anyone about him. I was seated in the middle of the small, but packed arena in the middle of Mexico. Beside me was Ronaldo Matanza one of the wealthier men in the bario. Matanza was a wealthy and powerful man with his own group of regulators that watched him wherever he went. His power reached far from just the tiny bario he lived in, and it was not a good idea to cross him. "

Jim Bridger - The King of the Mountain Men: A Classic Western
"Jim Bridger, also, known as the 'King of the Mountain Men' lay on his stomach on a wooden table, as the doctor cut up the skin on the top area of his back. His back was stained with his own blood, but the good doctor had cleaned the blood as it gushed out, keeping bleeding to a minimum. Bridger himself was enduring the procedure in a very stoic and affable manner. He had been lying on his back for almost an hour now but was not complaining in any way. The doctor had cut and scraped off his skin to get at the metal arrowhead that was lodged deep in his back, but the King of the Mountain Men did not complain or moan from the pain. Instead, he continued to enthrall young Jacob Hughes who sat at his side with his tales of high adventure on the mountains. "

Bullets and Fool's Gold: A Classic Western
"He opened fire on the men. He fired a single shot at Casim and the shot struck him in the head. The man was killed instantly and he did not manage to fire a single shot. The other three men were already moving to draw their guns, but the bounty hunter moved faster. He fired at one man and the shot hit him in the gut. The man dropped to the ground. Another shot ripped through a man's skull, and he was dead before he hit the ground. The bounty hunter's final shot struck one of the men who actually managed to draw his gun. The shot struck him on the hand and the man did not manage to fire his weapon. He felt hot lead on his palm, then another shot rang out, hitting him in the heart. He was killed and it was finally over. "
