Escape to Vegas with this hilarious and feel good rom-com from the bestselling I Heart series. Angela Clark loves her life in New York. She a Brit who's conquered the Big Apple. Unfortunately, she's also a Brit who's lost her job. And when, just a couple of weeks before Christmas, the immigration department gets wind of this, Angela needs to find a new job urgently. Or a husband. And she doesn't think her boyfriend Alex will be keen. A girls' weekend in Vegas with her best friend Jenny seems the perfect way to forget her troubles. From the minute they arrive Angela is swept up in a whirl of cocktails, outrageous outfits, late nights and brushes with the chapel of love. Fifth in this frothy, fun, romantic and escapist series, following the hilarious ups and downs of Angela Clark. Summoned home to England to introduce her fiancé, musician Alex, to her disapproving family, it looks like turning into a bit of a nightmare of old friends and situations she ran away from in the first place.
Followers of the series have a treat in store with this gorgeous Christmas offering. Newcomers can join here and giggle, background knowledge is useful but not essential. Angela is now married to Alex so we don’t have the will she/won’t she element. However … what is the next obvious happy-ever-after step? Children. Angela doesn’t feel ready, yet friends around her are. This is about growing up and facing responsibilities but still handled in a crazy, humorous way. It is a lovely series.
A lovely, entertaining and terrifically readable continuation of the I Heart stories by Lindsey Kelk. While I Heart Forever is the seventh in this particular series, I feel that you could read this as a standalone novel, though you may well have more fun by starting at the beginning with I Heart New York. Angela isn't very good at keeping secrets, which is rather difficult when secrets are being fired at her from all directions. Her husband is leaving for the trip of his lifetime, while she remains at home, attempting to keep her job and staff intact while Spencer Media is under new management. Lindsey Kelk writes with a witty, realistic style that just pops with attitude. I Heart Forever is an engaging hit of escapism and a perfect get away from it all read. ~ Liz Robinson
If you’ve been following this fabulously enjoyable series by Lindsey Kelk, then just to let you know that this is the eighth and last book about Angela. While you could read ‘I Heart Hawaii’ as a standalone, you will have so much more fun if you join Angela and her friends at the beginning with 'I Heart New York’. Jenny invites Angela on a press trip to Hawaii, as is normal, chaos and havoc accompany them. Our leading lady is gorgeously relatable, even though she lives a covetable life. Part of her charm, as well as her huge heart, is her tendency to stumble from one mess to another. Her friends and family are a gorgeously readable bunch, even the one or two who could charitably be described as frightful. ‘I Heart’ is an entertaining series from start to end, and I smiled, smirked and ahh’d my way through this engaging, toasty-warm read.
