I really enjoyed this first book in the series. Tension builds at a good pace to the end.
Annerin and her son, Fran, live close to March. They chose to isolate themselves from the villagers. Elsa and Maya are frequent visitors as are some of the other lads of Fran's age. Things take a nasty turn when Lukas is killed in the village square by Galos, also a friend to Annerin's family. Annerin leaves to find Arete, believed to be a witch, and Fran follows. Will March settle down now they are gone or will loyalties split it apart? I really enjoyed this first book in the series. Tension builds at a good pace to the end. It's well written and a good start. Look forward to reading more.
