Politicians and sex scandals have been the subject of many a fiction (and fact but, I still can’t picture Edwina and John having sex). However, this book is (we are lead to believe) a true account (names withheld) and it makes for pretty lurid reading (you have been warned!). We follow our anonymous politician through increasingly exotic encounters involving a fair number of other politicians. Unsurprisingly the identity of the author is much sought after as it would make pages of tabloid coverage. However, you have to ask, why write the book if you want to stay anonymous? And if you do know who the author is just drop us a quick email!
EMILY DUBBERLEY & ALY FIXTER - Another outstanding collection of red hot stories, with proceeds going to breast cancer charity, ULTIMATE BURLESQUE celebrates the art of strip tease with new tales from the creme de la creme of Britain’s new generation of erotic writers. So maybe indulge your naughty side knowing that it is all for a very worthy cause.
MAXIM JAKUBOWSKI - My MAMMOTH BOOK OF EROTICA collection has now been going for 15 years. The initial best-selling volume was an attempt to demonstrate the breadth and sheer quality of the genre and initiated a whole new wave of collections and also includes first rate stories by many names you would not usually associate with erotica (Amis, Self, Clive Barker, Anne Rice, Leonard Cohen, etc...)
Adapted from a blog, Girl With a One-Track Mind is a funny and refreshing look at one woman's sex life. It's very explicit as she details her rendezvous with various lovers and her many sexual experimentations. It's also a wonderful look into the life and thoughts of a single woman and it's great to see a woman who isn't afraid to explore her sexuality. Women will have many 'I'm so glad it's not only me that thinks that' moments and it should be compulsary reading for men so they can understand just a little about what a woman wants from a relationship (not just sexually). Oh, and she's had her career ruined by a nosy newspaper so do buy the book and help support her!
Notorious heiress Alexa Green has certainly been enjoying her most recent girls-holiday in Marbella. Just as we thought, she's been knocking back the cocktails and showing off her fabulous bikini body on the beach...but rumour has it she's also been spotted sneaking out of Enrique Castillo's penthouse in the early hours of this morning - in nothing but her underwear! Our question is, doesn't this fiercely private billionaire know what he's letting himself in for? He's got the millions...and she knows how to spend them!
Out of nowhere a stunning erotic series which succeeds in blending the BDSM extremes of Fifty Shades of Grey with the lush exoticism of the 1001 Nights or Anne Rice at her most sensual. In a land of faraway fantasy populated by exotic princesses, sorceresses, cruel men, sexually voracious predators, mythological beasts, slaves and gladiators, our initially virginal heroine has to run the gauntlet of temptation, pleasure and multifold adventures amongst Amazonian women and the flora and fauna of a world which springs from the page in living technicolour. Daring, pleasingly explicit and dead romantic, this is an undeniable guilty pleasure to be read and savoured one sexy page at a time. The series continues with Captive, Innocent and Princess.
A Maxim Jakubowski selected title. One of the leading contemporary authors of erotica long before the E. L. James tsunami, American writer Tyler also explored when younger many of the dangerous detours of the BDSM world in her real life and, until now, had only documented this in her blog. This is the initial volume, based on her writings there, of her discovery of kink and more, a sentimental and sexual education which will take your breath away and help understand the motivations and yearnings alternative ways of living can inevitably provoke. Written as thinly fictionalised biography, this is both fascinating, scary and heartfelt but also profoundly humane, and shows that the unsettling quirks of the human mind and body can come in much more than fifty shades.
A challenging but ultimately rewarding (and even in its own wonderfully twisted way, comic) exploration of the perverse mind of an older female teacher who is totally obsessed with young boys. Set aside your inborn societal prejudices and read this as a dark, noir tale of perverse explorations with its own, inexorable inner logic. You might take a strong distaste to the book and its first person narrator, but it's a considerable achievement in creating a monstrous character who, murders apart, ranks with Hannibal Lecter in the pantheon of inordinately seductive grotesques.
I rather enjoyed this book. A romance with a difference. Not your usual light romance, which I much prefer, something with a touch of the dark side about it. Grey finally leaves New York and a whole load of baggage behind her and heads to Berry Springs to rebuild her life. After a setback or two, she meets Declan, someone with his own history. Having said that he only appears in the book a third of the way through. The first part deals with Grey’s life challenges and how she takes them on. Ultimately, they both want to turn their lives around. I liked this book, it was refreshing and had honesty in it. Well written and plenty going on to keep my interest. The erotic adventures of an innocent young woman in Victorian London. When Eleanor enters service in the Hampton household she has no idea that beneath the facade of respectability, the house is a secret world of lust and depravity. Her mistress, Lady Hamilton, soon teaches Eleanor her position in the sternest and most shocking manner. Immediately, Eleanor realises to her horror that once you've felt the thrill of submission life will never be the same again.
‘Toy Soldiers’ is a short collection of 28 poems by Amy Tollyfield. There’s a wide variety of themes focused on in this collection and any poetry fan is bound to find a new piece to suit their mood. I enjoyed how each poem flowed, had its own pace but there is a notable lyricism in the author’s writing that I found stayed consistently throughout. Throughout the collection I found that Tollyfield was able to craft poems that were immediately immersive and evocative. Each one left me pausing for a moment, contemplating the scene that had just been brought to life, before moving on to the next. My favourite poem in the collection is ‘Gentle Rain’, there’s a cosiness and a comfort to it that sat very well with me, although I also found ‘Boudicca’ to have some powerful imagery too. I think that this is a great collection for fans of poetry. One that entices you back. I read this cover to cover then when skipping back to ponder over my favourites. ANAIS NIN - The famous diarist wrote the stories in DELTA OF VENUS, and other collections, specifically to order for a discerning rich collector of erotica and they have since become delicate classics, combining the sheer delicacy of female sexuality and a strong sense of place and nostalgia. A wonderful example of how erotica is ideally suited for the subtlety of the fictional female voice.
