Silent Noise is a special kind of silence that contains both foreboding and warning. It is a frequency undetectable to the human ear. Silent Noise is the stillness that often precedes natural disasters such as earthquakes or tsunamis. It is the absence of sounds and noises that lulls us into a false sense of security.

Clara S. Rueprich's film sequences, photographs, and installations create realms of experience that evoke that which is typically referred to as 'nature.'
