Swords of Mars

Swords of Mars Synopsis

Book 8 of the Barsoom Saga - Authorized by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., and Featuring Rare and Previously Unpublished Archival Materials

A new threat has arisen on Barsoom-the powerful assassins' guild of Zodanga, capable of toppling entire governments with the stroke of a sword. Now John Carter, Warlord of Mars, seeks to infiltrate the guild's corrupt den in disguise, intent on wielding only his sharp blade and keen mind to assail its highest ranks from within.

When fate places him in the employ of one of the guild's targets, he finds himself tangled up in a perilous game betrayal and murder between two cold-hearted, rival inventors. But the power-hungry scientists may prove to be the real threat, as their ambition for world conquest has led to the abduction John Carter's beloved Dejah Thoris, who has been stolen away to Thuria-Barsoom's nearer moon!
