I’ve read that origami is going to be the next “thing” after adult colouring books, another craft that can help stress relief and bring about the state of mindfulness. With a distinctly graphic aesthetic, Esther Thorpe's first book contains step-by-step instructions for 15 stunning origami projects for the home. Origami has been around for hundreds of years, but this is a thoroughly modern take on the art of paper folding. Basing her work on simple, traditional shapes and techniques, Esther creates simple, striking items that appear much more intricate than they are.
