"Detectives Patel and Pardoe investigate a supernatural killing spree in this gloriously chilling and sinister horror novel."
Well now, that’s me thoroughly and fabulously creeped out, I am quite sure that the frantic buzzing of flies will be pursuing my dreams! Detectives DI Patel and DS Pardoe are called in to investigate a murder that has strange and potentially supernatural overtones. House of Flies sits in the Patel and Pardoe series, which includes LoveReading Star Book The Children God Forgot and while as with all great series you can easily read each one as a standalone, I really do recommend starting at the beginning so you can get to know this fabulous supernatural crime-busting duo. I love these two, in terms of fighting crime, each brings out the best in the other, and they are different enough to create a really interesting partnership. Author Graham Masterton weaves crime and horror together with the most creative and skilful hand, it is all too easy to believe in the story, no matter how disturbing, and allow it take hold. A beautifully imaginative supernatural element takes hold while the flies, oh my, those flies, they are the stuff of nightmares! The writing is inventive yet believable and that is why this novel has been chosen as a LoveReading Star Book. Menacing and original, House of Flies takes great delight in being the most foreboding and shocking of reads.

IF YOU SEE THEM - RUN...
A clergyman is murdered in his bed in the dead of night, triggering a chilling chain of events, each more bizarre and unnerving than the last - brutal killings, corpses vanishing, decomposed bodies digging their way out of graves.
These shocking events seem unconnected but, at each scene, people report witnessing swarms of flies - hundreds, thousands, even millions of them.
As DI Patel and DS Pardoe hunt for the mastermind behind these atrocious crimes, they are forced to ask: is this person human - or is all of this linked to the mysterious figure caught on CCTV, running at speed without moving its legs?
And can they stop the swarm before they themselves are consumed?
For fans of Joe Hill, Peter James and Stephen King, Graham Masterton is a master of the horror genre whose books have sold millions of copies across the globe.
