A Victoria murder mystery – what's not to like? As soon as I read the blurb I was committed. I had to read this book!
I thorough enjoyed this book – a Victorian supernatural mystery. The wonderful cover drew me in and as soon as I read the blurb, I knew I would have to read it and I wasn’t disappointed. Avis is a professional sceptic whose aim in life is to discredit those “mediums” who aim to prove a place is haunted by using “persuasive techniques” such as setting up ghostly scenario’s. Two such people are twins, Gideon and Rachel Duquesne. When the three of them, with totally opposing views are invited on to an ocean liner, the twins look to prove the vessel is haunted while Avis must do her level best to prove them wrong during a week’s voyage from Portsmouth to America in order that the boat can be sold as “ghost free”....
