The Real Concept Cars

The Real Concept Cars Synopsis

All of the unusual cars featured in this book were presented as a Car of the Future. Concept cars are the motor industry's way of showing the shape of things to come. Many are no more than glossy styling models, but there is another group, the Real Concept Cars, that demonstrate ideas that might (or might not) be incorporated in production cars many years later.

Award-winning motoring writer Ray Hutton has travelled the world reporting on the motor business and its products. Delving into his archive, he has selected forty of these technology demonstrators shown from the 1980s to the 2010s that previewed most of the features and systems we take for granted in our cars today.

From racing-inspired supercars to tiny city runabouts, fuel-sipping record-breakers to hydrogen powered zero-emissions vehicles, The Real Concept Cars is a fascinating array of rarely seen machines that mark the evolution of the modern motor car.
