Doug Wyler has a stubborn streak a mile wide-more guts than brains, some folks might say. He'll take on a man twice his size for a cause he believes in. But this time, even Doug has his doubts. For the enemy is Gunstock Prison, and the cause is one of its inmates, Kari Jordan-the woman who left Doug standing at the altar. Kari is no more a jewel thief than he is, but no one has ever gotten out of Gunstock Prison alive, and this is one battle Doug isn't sure he wants to fight.

Doug's sense of justice soon overcomes his pride, and he embarks on what may be his final crusade.
