Shepherd's Warning

Shepherd's Warning Synopsis

A haunted house story in the gothic horror mold, following two brothers who inherit a long shunned mansion and bring their families for an ambitious renovation. Opening the place up wakes a terrible past, and escape stops being simple.

Sometimes You Shouldn't Go Home.

For years the abandoned MacKenzie mansion remained hidden in rural Wisconsin. Rumors of apparitions, odd noises, accidents and strange deaths in or near the property were enough to convince the townsfolk it was haunted, and they stayed away.

Lucas MacKenzie and his brother Nate know nothing of this when they inherit the property and bring their families to Wisconsin for a major renovation project, with HGTV stardom in mind. As they tear out old fixtures and open shuttered windows, the house begins to give up pieces of a terrible past, and it soon becomes clear the MacKenzies are in grave danger. The question is no longer whether the house is haunted. It's whether the family can get out before the house decides otherwise.

Shepherd's Warning is a haunted-house horror novel, for readers who love renovation-gone-wrong hauntings, family sagas with a supernatural edge and small-town gothic. Perfect for fans of Stephen King, Grady Hendrix and Darcy Coates.
