Not much has happened here since the Battle of Maserfield in 642, which is perhaps why the town is so popular among discerning tourists and those in search of a quiet life. For his new book, David Trumper has teamed up with Ray Farlow, Shropshire postcard collector extraordinaire, for a feast of photographs that illustrate bygone days in Oswestry and the surrounding villages.
