Cylindrical Structures Synopsis

This research and reference text will present a mathematical framework for understanding
wave propagation in cylindrical structures manufactured from various materials. It will be
the first book to focus on mathematical modelling of cylindrical structures rather than
characterization using experimental methods. Comprehensive coverage of analytical
models of thermoelastic and magneto-electro-elastic cylindrical structures will be
provided in terms of buckling and vibration, and the applications and fundamental features
of polygonal and arbitrary cross sections will be surveyed in detail. Side effects, including
the effects of thermal and fluid environment, will also be covered.
