"This sparkling YA enemies-to-lovers rom-com makes even a religious academy seem fun (and gay) "
A month before High School graduation, the perfect Principal’s daughter Shara Wheeler kisses three people and disappears, leaving behind only a trail of pink letter clues and the scent of her lilac lip-gloss. Chloe Green, Shara’s academic rival, is determined to be the one to find her, to prove she’s cleverer — it’s DEFINITELY not because she’s secretly in love with her...
Holy crap this book is SO MUCH FUN! Got me out of book funk and then some. Was actively looking forward to picking this up and didn’t want it to end. Casey McQuiston is just so bloody BRILLIANT at writing huge-hearted, stylishly high-concept romantic comedies and this is my favourite of theirs yet. Think the concept of PAPER TOWNS by John Green but feisty and funny and set in a queer as hell Christian academy. Yesssss!
Big recommended for any smart & fun queer romcom fans. I think it’ll earn a rare re-read for me.
Casey McQuiston's I Kissed Shara Wheeler is about breaking the rules, getting messy, and finding love in unexpected places.
Perfect for fans of Heartstopper, this is the debut YA queer rom-com from the bestselling author of Red, White and Royal Blue.
'A razor-sharp, intensely compassionate, subversive, sweet, electrifyingly romantic knockout of a book' - Becky Albertalli, author of Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda
A month before graduating, the principal's perfect daughter, prom queen Shara Wheeler, kisses Chloe Green - and vanishes.
On a furious hunt for answers, Chloe discovers she's not the only one Shara kissed. There's also Smith, Shara's long-time sweetheart, and Rory, Shara's bad-boy neighbour with a crush.
Thrown into an unlikely alliance, Chloe, Smith and Rory follow Shara's trail of annoyingly cryptic clues, and Chloe starts to suspect that there might be more to this small town - and to Shara - than she thought . . .
