Sarah Broadhurst's view...

The third Max Camara, Spanish-based crime series has a mystery harking back to the Civil War and a present day war over saffron, drugs and the black market. A body is found in a skip just like Max’s sister twenty years earlier so old wounds are opened. His grandfather remembers a mass execution in the Civil War, more old wounds. There are lots of threads in this so you need to keep your wits about you.

If you like Jason Webster you might also like to read books by Andrea Camilleri, Ian Rankin and Qunitin Jardine.
