Dr T. D.Papathanasiou obtained his engineering diploma from the National technical University of Athens and his PhD in chemical engineering from McGill University. Between 1992 and 1997 he was Unilever Lecturer in Chemical Engineering at Imperial College, London and he is currently Associate professor at the University of South Carolina, USA. Dr. André Bénard is an associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Michigan State University. Dr. Bénard’s research interests include sustainable manufacturing and materials processing, multiphase flow and heat transfer (liquid/liquid and solid/liquid mixtures), and the design and modeling of new separation and processing equipment.
