Peter Robbins was a commodities trader in the City of London for 30 years. He was able to retire from that business early and became a consultant to the United Nations on trade relations between African countries and multinational companies. He then worked as an adviser to the African National Congress on trade sanctions against apartheid in South Africa. He is now working on establishing market information systems for tropical agricultural products in rural areas of Africa. He has published several books on metals and agricultural markets and apartheid.
