Nick joined the brewing industry with the iconic company Bass in the 1980's and over the next 19 years 'climbed the ranks' through its various divisions. He sold and marketed beer to independent outlets and supermarkets, managed call centres and training departments, ran pubs and even had a spell working with bookmakers leasing fruit machines. During this time, he experienced interactions with all types of employees, consumers, hospitality businesses and retail environments.
In 2005 Nick joined the global brewing giant SAB Miller, and went onto lead its UK and Ireland operation which was famous for transforming the Peroni brand into the market leading premium lager.
Frustrated by the corporate decision-making processes he took up the opportunity to take a stake in the struggling first to market craft beer maker Meantime and lead it to change the way people think about beer. His memoir, In The Meantime, details the ups, downs, trials and tribulations of his varied and successful career, along with the business lessons he learned along the way.
