Marjorie E. Favretto, in her retirement years, lives in her native Nova Scotia with her husband, Reno. She wrote her first book of poetry at age 40 for her graduating nursing class, emphasizing "the person in the patient." This collection of poems was often used as a teaching tool in schools of nursing in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and Great Britain. Through Avatars of the Ages, she offers her readers "her tiny flame in the great candelabra of the world."
