She is the author of The Urban South (Greenwood Press, 1989). JAMES O. WHEELER is the Merle Prunty, Jr., Professor of Geography at the University of Georgia, Athens. He is the author of Economic Geography, The Urban Circulation Noose, American Metropolitan Systems, A Dictionary of Quotations in Geography, and over 70 journal articles. He is coeditor of the bi-monthly journal, Urban Geography.
