Julia Keys and Jacqui Coles are the co-founders of www.keys2life.co.uk. They first became friends as teenagers, and although their lives took separate paths with differing experiences, fate always brought them together again. Frequently, those reunions occurred in the most unexpected of places and always at a time when one of them was struggling with an issue in their life. A true friend is there when you need them and none more so than when you are dealing with the effects of being betrayed. Julia and Jacqui's friendship has been their survival mechanism and they hope that anyone reading this book will feel their genuine desire, for the MANScript to be their friend on every page.
According to authors Julia Keys and Jacqui Coles, infidelity has a script, in that the same reasons, excuses and reactions occur over and over, no matter who you are - a viewpoint that certainly seems borne out by the testimonies included in this book. From learning to spot age-old telltale signs that a bloke is playing away from home (among them “stained underpants” and “throwing out his faithful old boxers for new underwear”), to dealing with the shock, and how to emerge a stronger, happier person, this covers the experience from start to finish, setting out questions to help readers weather the roughest of storms. The book includes a number of shocking essentialist views from philandering husbands. Take 57-year-old Chris, for example, who tells us, “I think there is an in-built desire in men to mate and in a way, it drives them to perform like stag deer, not just in the rutting season, but throughout the whole year.” No Chris, you’re a human being, not an animal, not a “top stag”! And I’m afraid I struggled with the authors’ view that “you might be more inclined to accept this behaviour from a man in his younger years.” That aside, there’s some valuable advice on how to get through the post-relationship grieving process and be kind to yourself, all delivered in a chatty, down-to-earth style.
`My Freedom Diary & Journal' has been created by the co-authors of best-selling book, The MANScript, to help anyone who has been cheated on to let go of the emotions preventing them from moving forward with their life. It is a safe place to offload thoughts and feelings without judgement or fear of recrimination, and includes step-by-step guidance; with encouragement to write down goals, thoughts, worries, emotions, fears, and plans for the future. Journalling is a creative strategy-still used by Julia Keys-that was instrumental in the healing process, following her marriage breakdown from TV presenter, Richard Keys. It's also a strategy that is highly recommended in The MANScript - the infidelity survival guide published in May 2018. By using the journal in your own way, at your own pace, in your own time, `My Freedom Diary & Journal' provides an opportunity to not only heal, but thrive, by increasing your awareness and understanding of who you are and what you want from life. `My Freedom Diary & Journal' will help you become stronger and more secure in your own identity and encourage you to forge a path to first identify and then achieve what you desire from life. `My Freedom Diary' is a compassionate helping hand, empowering you to track your personal journey from the place that you find yourself in, to the place you choose to be. Written to help men and women who are experiencing a relationship crisis, divorce, separation, or emotional breakdown, this is a unique journal that will help you navigate through tumultuous times to get your life back on track.
