Jan Ford is a retired foster carer based in Worcestershire. She lives with her husband Tony, her youngest adopted daughter and son, four rescue dogs and two rescue cats. Over the past fifty years, she has cared for hundreds of children, adopting seven of them along the way. In 1994, Jan was nominated by one of her grown-up adopted daughters for a national award. As a result, she was voted 'Mum in a Million' for the West Midlands.
