Simon Halliday played International Rugby for England during the 80s and 90s, as well as appearing for two of the countrys top clubs, Bath and Harlequins. Educated at Oxford, where he studied Classics and Modern Languages, Simon has combined International Sport with High Finance, helping to manage the Professional game alongside his role in the multi billion pound Broking industry personified by the likes of UBS and ultimately Lehman Brothers.
Winner of the Rugby Book of the Year at the British Sports Book Awards 2014. In his candid and lucidly written autobiography City Centre, Simon Halliday, a former England rugby international takes the reader on a roller-coaster trip along Twickenham's corridors of power and lifts the lid on the departure of, not one, but two chief executives, as the game's rulers fought among themselves for control of the RFU.
